Attorney Sandye T. Hicks

Attorney Sandye T. Hicks has been practicing law for over 17 years, exclusively in the areas of divorce and family law.  She has dedicated her professional career to providing excellent legal representation for clients in divorce, child custody, alimony, visitation, equitable distribution of assets, child support, and other family law cases.  Her years of experience in handling complex family law cases, has provided her with the knowledge and ability to navigate through the most difficult family law cases. 

Attorney Hicks firmly believes knowledge is power, and works hard to educate and empower her client’s through the divorce process. 

Attorney Hicks comes from a family of accomplished lawyers, and knew from a very young age that she wanted to continue the tradition, and dedicate herself to the practice of law.  Prior to attending law school, Attorney Hicks worked as a litigation paralegal for one of the top law firms in the State of North Carolina.  Not only was she able to gain a strong foundation in family law, but had the opportunity to continue being molded by a team of exceptional legal professionals. 

Attorney Hicks graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mount Olive College with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration, and earned her Juris Doctor from Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 2006.   Following law school, Attorney Hicks worked in Charleston, South Carolina, before relocating to Conway, South Carolina permanently in 2015.  Attorney Hicks fell in love with the legal community and town of Conway, and knew she found the perfect place to permanently plant her roots. 

Since graduating from law school, Attorney Hicks has successfully handled several divorce, custody and other family law related cases. She has become best known for her ability to handle complex cases, while providing clients with realistic expectations about the probable outcome of their case.  Attorney Hicks is a skilled negotiator and takes great pride in her ability to settle cases, without the necessity of attending a trial.  However, if settlement is not possible, Attorney Hicks has the courtroom experience necessary to zealously and successfully litigate any family court matter.  To Attorney Hicks, every case is important, and she prides herself on not only providing sound legal advice, but also assisting her clients through some of the most difficult times in their lives with the best outcome possible.  In addition to being a family law attorney, Attorney Hicks is also a South Carolina Supreme Court Certified Family Court Mediator, assisting parties with resolving their matters amicably, without the necessity of contested litigation.
